Note The requirement represents information regarding all hydrographic networks. The categories expected includes permanent water bodies (lake, open water) and the coastline, and also the theme of the rivers network and their catchments, i.e. of those auxiliary elements (reservoir) for the interpretation of the hydrographic system. Coverage requirement: Global. Geometry type: point/line/polygon.

Shuttle Radar Topography Mission Water Body Dataset (SWBD) Partially Available in Rapid Mapping SDI. Accuracy is lower than threshold. Coverage is not complete: SRTM has collected data over most of the land surfaces that lay between 60 degrees north latitude and 54 degrees south latitude. That's about 80% of all the land on the Earth.
OpenStreetMap Partially Reason for partial requirement fulfillement is dataset location dependency. Available in Rapid Mapping SDI.
Vector Map1 (VMap1) Partially Accuracy is lower than threshold. Available in Rapid Mapping SDI. Not all tiles have been publicly released.
INSPIRE Annex I: Hydrography Partially The level of compliance of the Dataset must be verify case by case. Coverage could be not complete. Some datasets are free for emergency purpose (CEMS). If datasets are available offline, a request form must be filled and sent for authorization before being granted data access.
