Description The COllaborative Carbon Column Observing Network (COCCON) is an international ground-based remote-sensing network of EM27/SUN Fourier Transform Infrared spectrometers. It provides harmonised total-column observations of greenhouse gases, including CO₂ and CH₄, as well as CO, supporting satellite validation, atmospheric composition monitoring, and the Copernicus CO₂ Monitoring and Verification Support capacity. COCCON also provides guidance and quality support to EM27/SUN operators to ensure consistent and comparable observations across the network.
