Description The European Climate Assessment & Dataset project (ECA&D) offers science-based operational services for assessing observed changes in climate extremes in Europe. These services rely on high-quality observational datasets provided by the participants: 66 National Meteorological and Hydrological Services, observatories and universities from Europe and the Mediterranean.The project coordination is performed by Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI). ECA&D was initiated by the European Climate Support Network of GIE-EUMETNET and has been designated as Regional Climate Centre on climate data for WMO Region VI (Europe). ECA&D has been further developed in the EU-projects ENSEMBLES, MILLENNIUM, EURO4M, UERRA and EUPORIAS.
