GAF AG is a German private-sector earth observation (EO) and geo-information (GI) service provider company founded in 1985. GAF based in Munich is employing more than 230 highly-skilled experts together with its branch in Neustrelitz (formerly known as Euromap GmbH) and is part of the Leonardo Group. Its shares belong entirely to the Italian company e-GEOS S.p.A., which is in turn a subsidiary of Telespazio S.p.A. and the Italian Space Agency (ASI). The ultimate companies in the group are the Italian concern Leonardo S.p.A., (67 % share) and the French enterprise Thales S.A., (33 % share). |
