| Description | Following a popular referendum in 1993, environmental controls were entrusted to an articulated prevention and protection system, made up of special agencies established at regional level: the ARPA. Arpa Piemonte was established by regional law no. 60 of 13 April 1995. Regional Law no. 28 of 20 November 2002 also assigned the Agency the competences on the prediction and prevention of natural risks, thus making it the holder of all the functions of protection and control in environmental matters. |
