The Sentinel-2 Global Mosaic (S2GM) offers mosaic surface reflectance products derived from the Sentinel-2 A and B platforms, providing a comprehensive, seamless, and cloud-free visual representation of the Earth's surface. These mosaics are not just static images; they are dynamic, configurable, and can be tailored to specific areas of interest and time periods.
The S2GM service forms the foundation for a wide range of applications, it provides the basemap upon which more specific data can be overlaid for analysis and interpretation. Its products are used for forest monitoring, land surface classification, vegetation dynamics, and urban settlement monitoring, among others. The S2GM service is not just a provider of images; it is a provider of Analysis Ready Data (ARD), enabling users to delve directly into further thematic processing.
Sentinel-2 Global Mosaic service offers Sentinel-2 data with cloud free surface reflectance time composites. The mosaic products with the new Sentinel-2 processing baseline are available on request for the period from February 2022 onwards over user areas of interest. The full Sentinel-2 archive will be available upon completion of reprocessing. |
