For InSAR production purposes, a very high-resolution DEM is not necessary, since the height of each measurement point above the reference DEM is estimated as part of the processing. It is much more important that the model is free of any anomalies and should have a uniform quality. | Oct. 15, 2019, 10:58 a.m. | Dec. 1, 2021, 10:14 a.m. |

Snow-cover can compromise the quality of InSAR results by increasing the noise of time series. Detailed and up-to-date information about seasonal and permanent snow cover in higher latitudes and mountaneous regions could help to filter out images with extensive snow cover to allow for reliable InSAR coverage for production. | July 20, 2022, 3:08 p.m. | July 20, 2022, 3:13 p.m. |

Rapid or abrupt movements of the Earth’s surface, such as those caused by earthquakes, can cause discontinuities in InSAR measurement. Knowledge as to the spatial and temporal characteristics of such events could allow for adapting processing strategies as well as processing and quality parameters in affected areas. Thus larger displacements could be retreived, anomalies during processing could be avoided, artefacts could be explained. | July 26, 2022, 9:48 a.m. | July 26, 2022, 9:48 a.m. |

The use of Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) data in production is not currently foreseen. The timeliness of the NWP and the computational burden they involve are not suited at the moment for continental-scale production. | July 27, 2022, 8:35 a.m. | Sept. 6, 2024, 9:25 a.m. |
