Description The Standardized Snowpack Index (SSPI) is an indicator that measures anomalies of the snow water equivalent (SWE) that is contained in the “snowpack” in Europe’s cold regions. This indicator can be used to identify in advance potential high risk areas of hydrological drought expected in early summer.
