Contains spatial data representing linear surface water bodies (rivers, streams, canals, and water channels) across the territory of Albania. The dataset was obtained by digitizing topographic maps at scales of 1:25,000 and 1:10,000, as well as by relying on the 2015–2017 orthophoto and the Digital Terrain Model (DTM). Digitization was carried out at a scale of 1:1000 for flat relief and urban areas, while for mountainous relief it reached a scale of 1:2000. The geospatial dataset with line or polygon geometry represents watercourses, reservoirs, as well as man-made objects (pipes, saltworks, etc.). The data comply with the standard set by Government Decree No. 829, dated October 7, 2015, for the approval of the document “State Standards for Technical Specifications of the Spatial Data Infrastructure in Albania – Topic: Hydrografia.” |
