The Adaptive Management of Barriers in European Rivers (AMBER) Barrier Tracker app is part of a larger citizen science programme that supports the development and expansion of the Barrier Atlas. It combines information from 120 national and regional inventories, covering 36 European countries, with approximately 668,868 recorded barrier locations. It also uses field surveys and statistical modelling to estimate that more than 1.2 million barriers exist across Europe. |
