| Description |
The GHS-WUP-DUC dataset provides a global classification of administrative units according to the Degree of Urbanisation (DEGURBA) methodology (Stage II), based on GADM 4.1 administrative boundaries (levels 0 to 2). It covers the period from 1975 to 2100 at 5-year intervals and provides subnational statistics on population and built-up surface by urbanisation class. The dataset supports comparisons between urban, intermediate and rural areas across countries and over time.
