| Description |
The GHS-WUP-DEGURBA spatial dataset provides a global classification of human settlements according to the Degree of Urbanisation (DEGURBA), covering the period from 1975 to 2100 at 5-year intervals, with a spatial resolution of 1 km. It distinguishes urban centres, urban clusters and different rural settlement categories, based on population distribution. The dataset also includes vector layers for 2025 describing settlement boundaries and associated attributes, such as population, area and built-up surface.
