CHAPTER is an hourly, high-resolution meteorological reanalysis dataset covering Europe and the Mediterranean region for 1981–2022. It provides spatially continuous meteorological fields derived by dynamically downscaling ERA5, including 2 m air temperature, near-surface humidity, 10 m wind components and precipitation, together with other atmospheric variables.
The dataset supports the analysis of historical weather and extreme events, including applications in wildfire modelling, flash-flood assessment, atmospheric dispersion and air-quality analysis. |
