UID 922
Name Digital Basic Landscape Model (Layers) (Basic DLM)
Description The Basic Digital Landscape Model (DLM) is part of the Official Topographic-Cartographic Information System (ATKIS®). It describes the topographic features of the landscape and the relief of the Earth's surface in vector format. The objects are assigned to a specific object type and defined by their spatial location, geometric type, descriptive attributes, and relationships to other objects. The spatial location is specified for the Basic DLM independently of scale and representation. Each object has a unique object identifier (OID) for Germany, which remains unchanged throughout the object's lifetime. The information scope of the Basic DLM is based on the content of the 1:25,000 topographic map, but offers higher positional accuracy (target ± 3 m) for the most important point and line features.
