ATKIS Digital Terrain Model 1 m is the digital terrain model (DTM) of Germany that represents the terrain surface without buildings and dominant vegetation, i.e., only the “bare” ground surface. The “1 m” version (Gitterweite = 1 m) means that the height points are placed on a regular grid with a step of approximately 1 meter. It is produced using aerial photogrammetry and, above all, Airborne Laserscanning (ALS), in the case of the “ALS_2” variant indicating a more recent/higher-resolution airborne laser survey. |
