I.Stat is the official data dissemination portal of ISTAT (the Italian National Institute of Statistics). It is an interactive online platform that allows users to consult, explore, customize, and download statistical data produced by ISTAT and other institutions belonging to the National Statistical System (SISTAN).
The platform enables navigation through thousands of thematic datasets — including population, economy, labor, environment, education, health, business, and territory. It provides tools for creating customized tables, charts, and interactive maps.
Data can be downloaded in several open formats (CSV, XLSX, SDMX, JSON). Moreover, all datasets are regularly updated and documented with official metadata (description, source, frequency, methodology). |
