Note The Copernicus Land Monitoring Service (CLMS) Local Component Urban Atlas provides reliable, inter-comparable, high-resolution land use maps for Functional Urban Area (FUA) defined for currently three reference years, i.e. 2006, 2012 and 2018. The geospatial data can be downloaded together with a map for each urban area covered and a report with the metadata for the respective area. Land Cover Partially The core areas of the Urban Atlas are also used for the Riparian Zones Land Cover/Land Use (LC/LU). This requires recoding since the nomenclature among the two products differs. Additional effort is required to guarantee topological consitencies among the covered core areas and LC/LU within Riparian zones outside the Urban Atlas core areas. Information on urban land use and on degree of imperviousness within dense urban Areas used for the production of the skeleton (intermediate product).
