Data details

Name NextMap World 10
Note The NextMap® World 10™ Digital Elevation Model (DEM) by Intermap Technologies® is a fused data model using corrected public data as the input source. This model provides available elevation data with a 10-meter ground sampling distance (GSD) covering all land mass over the entire planet. NEXTMap World 10 DEM is a combination of 90-meter and 30-meter Shuttle Radar Topographic Mission (SRTM) v2.1 data, 30-meter Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer Global Digital Elevation Model (ASTER GDEM) v2 data, and 1-kilometer GTOPO30 data (a global DEM developed by United States Geological Survey (USGS). All of which have been ground controlled using Light Detection And Ranging (LiDAR) data from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Ice, Cloud and Land Elevation Satellite (ICESat) collection. Intermap applies a proprietary algorithm when fusing datasets into the World 10 DEM. Resolution: 10m. Vertical Accuracy: root mean square error (RMSE): 5m / 95% linear error (LE95): 10m.

Requirements

Requirement Level of compliace Note Information costs Handling costs Created on Last modified on
Digital Elevation Model Partially World-wide coverage due to the fusion of different datasets: Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer Global Digital Elevation Map (ASTER GDEM), Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM), GTOPO30, using data from the Ice, Cloud and Land Elevation Satellite (ICESat) for vertical control. It is a commercial-based product. Therefore, only partially compliant. Oct. 2, 2019, 4:50 p.m. Nov. 30, 2020, 2:06 p.m.
