The spatial dataset "Estonian Topography Dataset - Hydrography" includes real-world phenomena, classified into classes of phenomena, grouped in the 'Water bodies and hydrographic structures' group of the Estonian Topography Dataset (ETAK) reality model: sea, standing water bodies, watercourses, shoreline, hydrographic structures, culverts; as well as surface features grouped in the 'Surface mode' group of the reality model, where the values of the surface type attribute are rapids and waterfalls. The attributes of the attribute class 'Standing water bodies' are: the name of the standing water body, the unofficial name of the standing water body, type of the standing water body. The attributes of the attribute class watercourses are: name of the watercourse, informal name of the watercourse, type of watercourse, the width of the watercourse, type of axis of the watercourse, status of the axis of the watercourse, the direction of flow of the watercourse. Shoreline attributes of the attribute class: type of shore, type of delimiting water body, shore as administrative boundary. The attributes of the attribute class hydrographic structures are: type of hydrographic structure. For the attributes of the attribute class culverts: type of culvert. The attributes of the attribute class sea are absent. The establishment and maintenance of the Estonian Topographic Data Base are based on the 'Statutes of the Estonian Topographic Data Base' and the 'Procedures for the collection of topographic data and topographic phenomena of general significance'. The main data sources are: aerial mapping and laser scanning data or their derivatives, including orthophotographs; data provided by information holders in the course of data exchange; survey data from surveys carried out by the data controller; data from other observations and surveys, including from public databases and other sources. |
